Lactose Free Easy Cream Puffs With Whipped Cream

Water: 1 cup is required for this recipe.

Butter: 6 Tbsp. of lactose free butter.

Sugar: You will need 1 Tbsp.

Salt: You will need 1/2 tsp of salt for taste.

Flour: 1 Cup of all purpose flour is required for this recipe.

Eggs: You will need four eggs for this cream puff.

Heavy Cream: 1 cup of chilled lactose free heavy cream for the homemade whipping cream.

Powdered Sugar: You will need 1/2 cup of powdered sugar for the whipped cream.

Pastry Bag: To add the dough mixture.

Step By Step Directions:

Step One:

Preheat your oven to 450°F

Line two baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.

Place a medium size pot over the stove on low/medium temperature and add in your water, sugar, butter and salt. Once the sugar and salt has dissolved and the butter has melted allow the water to simmer then remove from the stovetop.

Turn the stove off.

Step Two:

Add in the flour and mix until you have formed a smooth dough. One at a time, add in your eggs and mix completely before adding another egg.

Step Three:

Once you have a smooth dough, transfer the dough to a pastry bag and pipe small circular dough onto the baking sheet that was prepared earlier.

Use your finger to press gently down on the tip of the dough so you have a smooth cream puff.

Toss into the oven and bake on high for 10 minutes then lower the oven temperature down to 350°F and bake 10-15 minutes.

While the Puffs are baking, go ahead and make your homemade whipping cream.

Once you see the Puffs browning slightly on the top, they are finished.

Allow to cool completely before adding your homemade whipped cream.

  • 1/2 cup of powdered sugar
