Homemade Air Fried Meatballs
These Homemade Air Fried Meatballs are crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. They are mixed with spices, cilantro and mint, making these Air Fried Meatballs the best meatballs!
If you are looking for a healthier alternative to deep frying meatballs, try these Homemade Air Fried Meatballs instead, zero oil is required!
First, you want to add spices and herbs to the ground beef and mix everything with your clean hands until fully incorporated. Next, to enhance the flavor, store the ground beef in the fridge for a couple of hours or even better – overnight. Doing this will allow the ground beef and spices to meld together. Finally, you will want to shape the balls using the palms of your hands then place them into an air fryer and fry for about twenty minutes before serving.
You can serve these meatballs on their own, with ketchup on the side or even chutney.
Let’s begin!
What Does Lactose Free Mean?
First and foremost, I try my best to incorporate lactose free ingredients in all my recipes. These ingredients can include, butter, milk, cream cheese etc. With that being said, sometimes it is hard to make an entire recipe using ALL lactose free ingredients. For example, my ice cream recipes include, condensed milk- NOT LACTOSE FREE.
Contrary to what some may believe, lactose – free is not the same as dairy free. Lactose – free still contains milk, however, there is a certain component, I believe a type of sugar (I may be wrong) where the lactose is removed from dairy, making it lactose – free. Dairy free on the other hand, contains ZERO milk. Alternatives for dairy free are almond milk, oat milk, soy milk etc. You can learn more about the differences here.
Which Ingredients Are Lactose Free?
- Zero!

Frequently Asked Questions?
I don’t have an air fryer what else can I use?
Not a problem, you can also deep fry these delicious meatballs as well on the stovetop.
Instead of meatballs can I use this recipe and make burger patties?
Yes, you can! I do it all the time. Instead of making small meatballs, you can turn this recipe into beef patties and enjoy them as burgers instead.
Do I need to add the chili powder?
Not necessarily. You can omit the powder altogether or add less than one tbsp. I highly recommend using spices as it will enhance the flavor of ground beef.
Do I need to preheat the air fryer?
That depends on the air fryer you have. Some require preheating while others do not. Be sure to read your manual to know for sure.
Homemade Air Fried Meatballs Tips
1. To avoid excess grease and oil, use lean ground beef.
2. Try your best to cook the meatballs all the same size for even cooking.
3. Don’t overcrowd the air fryer.
4. Instead of fresh garlic and ginger, you can also use garlic and ginger powder.
Variations For Homemade Air Fried Meatballs:
