Baked Nectarine With Honey Sauce
Discover a tasty and easy recipe for Baked Nectarines. Only five ingredients required for this mouthwatering treat!
Okay, I know nectarines are not in season right now but Costco had a great deal that I couldn’t pass up!
This recipe is super simple to put together and only requires five ingredients – salt, honey, cinnamon, vanilla extract and of course, nectarines.
First, preheat your oven to 350°F then wash your nectarines. Cut the nectarines in half, be sure to remove the pit in the center, place the nectarines into an oven safe dish and set aside. Secondly, using a small bowl, add honey, salt, cinnamon and vanilla extract…. mix, mix, mix. Lastly, pour the mixture over your nectarines then place them into the oven and bake at 350 for 20 minutes. The nectarines should be soft and the sauce should be bubbling. Remove from the oven, serve warm and enjoy!
What Does Lactose Free Mean?
First and foremost, I try my best to incorporate lactose free ingredients in all my recipes. These ingredients can include, butter, milk, cream cheese etc. With that being said, sometimes it is hard to make an entire recipe using ALL lactose free ingredients. For example, my ice cream recipes include, condensed milk- NOT LACTOSE FREE.
Contrary to what some may believe, lactose – free is not the same as dairy free. Lactose – free still contains milk, however, there is a certain component, I believe a type of sugar (I may be wrong) where the lactose is removed from dairy, making it lactose – free. Dairy free on the other hand, contains ZERO milk. Alternatives for dairy free are almond milk, oat milk, soy milk etc. You can learn more about the differences here.
Which Ingredients Are Lactose Free?
- Zero! There is nothing in this recipe that requires me to use lactose free ingredients. Hurrah!!!
