An Easy Blueberry Pie
This Easy Blueberry Pie is perfect for the holidays, for special occasions or a random weekend that’s got you craving for a delicious pie.
Alright, confession time- I struggle with baking pies, especially when it comes to the crust! Sure, I could just buy a premade one from the store, but where’s the fun in that? So, I’ve decided to make it my goal to become a pie-making pro. – At least I hope anyway.
Speaking of pre-made, I do prefer purchasing pre-made pie filling from the grocery stores. I can devour those right out of the can!
This Easy Blueberry Pie will be the most EASIEST pie you EVER put together.
What makes this Blueberry Pie easy to make? All you need is a pie crust AND ( here’s the easy part) a can of E.D Smith’s Blueberry Pie Filling.
So let’s begin.
First, you will start by creating the pie crust. You can find my recipe here. – this is the hardest part! Second, once your pie crust is ready to go, place the dough into a round pie dish and add E.D Smith Blueberry Filling to the pie dish. Finally, top the pie with another crust, fold the sides in, place the pie dish into the oven and bake for 60 minutes.
Behold…. Blueberry Pie.
What Does Lactose Free Mean?
First and foremost, I try my best to incorporate lactose free ingredients in all my recipes. These ingredients can include, butter, milk, cream cheese etc. With that being said, sometimes it is hard to make an entire recipe using ALL lactose free ingredients. For example, my ice cream recipes include, condensed milk- NOT LACTOSE FREE.
Contrary to what some may believe, lactose – free is not the same as dairy free. Lactose – free still contains milk, however, there is a certain component, I believe a type of sugar (I may be wrong) where the lactose is removed from dairy, making it lactose – free. Dairy free on the other hand, contains ZERO milk. Alternatives for dairy free are almond milk, oat milk, soy milk etc. You can learn more about the differences here.
Which Ingredients Are Lactose Free?
- Butter – For the pie crust
