Equipment

  • Whisk
  • Measuring spoons and cup
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Small Bowl
  • Kitchen Aid Mixer
  • Cookie Sheet
  • Saran Wrap
  • Kitchen Towel
  • Parchment Paper

Ingredients

  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 6 1/4 cups Flour
  • 4 tbsp Yeast
  • 2 cups Warm water
  • 1 tbsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Oil

Instructions

  • Gather all your ingredients, measure everything then set aside.
  • In a medium-sized bowl, add in warm water, yeast and sugar. Give the yeast about ten minutes before moving to the next step. You want the yeast to bloom before adding it to the flour.
  • Using the kitchen aid mixer bowl, add in flour, salt, eggs, oil and yeast mixture. Using the dough hook, mix EVERYTHING on low speed until fully incorporated.
  • Cover the bowl with saran wrap and place a clean kitchen towel over top. Allow the dough to rise for about an hour.
  • Place parchment paper down onto the cookie sheet.
  • Dust some flour onto the clean surface before placing the dough down.
  • Once the dough has doubled in size, punch the dough down and remove from the bowl onto a clean surface.
  • Create small or medium balls from the dough and place them onto a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  • Cover the dough again and allow the dough to rise for another thirty minutes.
  • After the twenty minute mark, Preheat your oven to 350F
  • Place the dough into the oven and bake for ten minutes.
  • Serve warm and Enjoy

Notes

  • You can Freeze unbaked dough in an airtight container or Ziploc bag. If you have leftover buns AFTER baking them, store them in an airtight container or Ziploc bag for up to one week.
  • Instead of oil try shortening or butter.
  • These buns can be served alone or used for any type of sandwich.
  • Leftovers? Just place them in an airtight container and consume within one week.
  • No kitchen aid mixer? No problem, knead the dough using your hands until the dough is fully combined.
