Lactose Free Homemade Caramel Sauce

With only four ingredients, caramel sauce is a rich and buttery concoction of white sugar, salt, butter and heavy cream.

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Whipping Cream lactose free
  • 6 tbsp. Butter lactose free

Instructions

  • Gather your ingredients and turn the stove top on to medium low heat.
  • Add sugar to a cooking pot and allow it to fully melt and turn brown.
  • Once your sugar has finally melted and turned brown, take the pot off the stove and add in the lactose free butter.
  • Mix the butter into the sugar using a spatula and place back on the stove top.
  • Slowly pour in the whipping cream and mix.
  • Add in salt
  • Mix then take the pot off the stove and allow to cool completely before transferring to an air tight container.
