Make your pie crust and set in the fridge until ready to bake.
Gather all your ingredients, measure everything then set aside.
Boil potatoes in salted water until fork tender. Drain and mash with butter, milk, salt, and pepper until smooth, set aside.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion, garlic and ginger, add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks.
Drain excess fat if needed.
Stir in Worcestershire sauce, herbs, salt, and pepper. Stir in veggies and remove from heat.
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
Grab your pie crust from the fridge. Spread meat mixture evenly into a baking dish. Top with mashed potatoes, smoothing or creating peaks with a fork. Sprinkle cheese on top if using.
Bake uncovered for 30-45 minutes, until bubbly and lightly golden on top. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!!!
